In this moment, what are you grateful for?

I'm grateful for my mom, today and always!

Sometimes it's much easier to think about all that is going "wrong" in our lives.  We get distracted by negativity in all forms; people, thoughts, actions.  I challenge you today to think of at least 10 things you are grateful for.

If this is a difficult question for you to answer, allow me to offer a student's perspective:

How awesome is this list?  Quite honestly, I was expecting to see more material items, such as their iPad or a favorite toy.  I am forever inspired by the thoughtfulness of children.  I am forever grateful for their natural abilities to be empathetic to others.  Finally, I am forever humbled by their observations of what really matters in life.

Today I take notice that I am grateful for:

The ability to read and write.

The ability to exercise and dance.

The ability to see and hear.

The ability to travel with relative ease.

The ability to communicate with my friends and family all over the globe.

The ability to experience a new culture and learn all that I can while I am in China.

The ability to take care of my loved ones.

The ability to enjoy the company of good friends here in Shanghai.

The ability to help others lead a healthy lifestyle.

The ability to bring happiness to those around me.

You get one life to live!  Make the most of it!
